HEIC to JPG No upload

Turn iPhone photos into JPGs that open everywhere. The conversion runs in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Choose your HEIC files, drop them on the page, or paste an image from your clipboard.
    2. Check that JPG is selected under “Convert to”. Adjust the quality if you want a smaller or larger file.
    3. The conversion starts straight away. It takes a second or two per image, on your own device.
    4. Click Download to save the JPG. With several images, download them all as one zip.

    Why convert HEIC to JPG?

iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) by default. It keeps photos at about half the size of a JPG, but Windows without an extra codec, many Android apps, older versions of Photoshop and lots of upload forms can't open it.

JPG is the format every device, website and app understands. Converting gives you a file you can email, upload to a job application or print shop, or open on any computer, at the cost of a slightly larger file.

    Frequently asked questions

Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?

Since iOS 11, the iPhone camera uses the "High Efficiency" setting, which saves HEIC files. You can switch to JPG for future photos in Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, but existing photos stay HEIC, which is what this converter is for.

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, so a tiny amount of detail is always re-encoded. At the default 90% quality the difference isn't visible. Slide the quality to 100% for the largest, most faithful file, or lower it for smaller files.

Are Live Photos and photo bursts supported?

The converter takes the main still image of each HEIC file. The short video part of a Live Photo isn't included in the JPG.

Is this HEIC to JPG converter free?

Yes. You can convert 3 images a day for free, up to 4 megapixels each, with no watermark. Pro removes the daily limit, keeps images up to 16 MP and converts up to 50 files at once with a zip download.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The converter runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your images are never sent to a server, so it's safe for personal and confidential photos.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes, on Pro: add up to 50 images and download them one by one or all together as a zip. Free accounts convert one image at a time.

    Which formats can I convert?

You can open HEIC/HEIF, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP files and save them as JPG, PNG or WebP. AVIF output is available on Pro. Safari can't save WebP, so the WebP option is off there.
