WebP to JPG No upload

Saved an image from a website and got a .webp file? Convert it to a JPG any app can open, without uploading it anywhere.

How to convert WebP to JPG

    1. Choose your WebP files, drop them on the page, or paste an image from your clipboard.
    2. Check that JPG is selected under “Convert to”. Adjust the quality if you want a smaller or larger file.
    3. The conversion starts straight away. It takes a second or two per image, on your own device.
    4. Click Download to save the JPG. With several images, download them all as one zip.

    Why convert WebP to JPG?

Most large websites now serve images as WebP because the files are 25–35% smaller than JPG. When you save one, you get a .webp file that older software, some photo printers, Word on older systems and many upload forms still reject.

Converting to JPG gives you a universally supported file. Transparent areas, which WebP can have and JPG can't, are filled with white.

    Frequently asked questions

Why do images from websites save as WebP?

Sites like Google, YouTube, Shopify stores and most news sites deliver WebP to browsers that support it, because smaller files make pages load faster. Your browser saves what it was sent.

Will the JPG be bigger than the WebP?

Usually a bit, yes, since WebP compresses more efficiently. Lower the quality slider to around 80% for a JPG close to the original size with no visible difference.

Can I convert animated WebP files?

Only the first frame is converted. JPG can't hold an animation.

Is this WebP to JPG converter free?

Yes. You can convert 3 images a day for free, up to 4 megapixels each, with no watermark. Pro removes the daily limit, keeps images up to 16 MP and converts up to 50 files at once with a zip download.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The converter runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your images are never sent to a server, so it's safe for personal and confidential photos.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes, on Pro: add up to 50 images and download them one by one or all together as a zip. Free accounts convert one image at a time.

    Which formats can I convert?

You can open HEIC/HEIF, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP files and save them as JPG, PNG or WebP. AVIF output is available on Pro. Safari can't save WebP, so the WebP option is off there.
